Shellie and Gary look great together and it was a pleasure to finally get to meet them and finalise our plans for their special day. What a dramatic location they picked! We all headed to Cathkin Braes on the south side of Glasgow for a pre-wedding photo shoot. This lovely young couple are due to wed in a few weeks in the magnificent Park Circus in Glasgow. Yesterday we could almost pick out Park Circus from our vantage point high above the city. Almost but not quite! The Braes gives an impressive view of the entire city and on a clear day you can see all the way to Ben Lomond in the north. It’s a place I used to go walking with my dad when I was a boy and I was immediately reminded of days gone past, ice cream cones from the shop, my Dad snapping away with his prized Leica, and the model aeroplane pilots who seemed to spend more time repairing their aircraft than flying them. Fond memories. Yesterday was almost clear but a strong westerly wind brought some photographic challenges and some dramatic skies across this great city. It would have been remiss of me not to take advantage of such drama up above so here are a few captures from the session. Shellie and Gary, I can’t wait for part two in a few weeks time!
